DLEJ - Flour on My Sleeve

Someday I'll own a car that starts on the first try,
Someday I won't measure my whole week in change and goodbye.
For now I'll take the long way past the closed-up shops,
Holding every penny like it's the last one that I've got.
Wet street golden drift in the puddles; keep on walking,
Feel the night.
